There were missed nets on both sides of the net but seemed that the ones that weren’t called against SC came at critical times, such as the end of Set 5.

Not sure why you think officials are invited to UH parties. They don’t work for the school. although nothing stopping them from buying a ticket for a fundraiser.

Hawaii owns the tiebreaker on SC
As mentioned on new thread … that everyone above Hawaii kept winning means the Warriors stay where they have stayed.
However, That Hawaii going 5 both nights with SC, splitting, should have carried more weight over UCI’s 3-1 win over winless UCSD.
And, yes, agree that it was a surprise that the UCI coach votes SC No. 1. Those points kept SC from dropping to 3.

Hope there’s a moratorium on inviting those refs to UH parties. Bet our local refs just wanted to be “fair,” no? Yeah, they should learn fairness before doling it out.

Hawaii owns the tie breaker. After total sets won for both matches, which was even, the next criteria is combined points scored for both matches, which was Hawaii. Actually UH out scored USC both nights, but regardless it is the combined total that is used.
