13. I was covering that game for both the Star-Bulletin and AP in 84. Really good tournament three NCAA ranked teams in Oklahoma, SMU, Louisville and host Chaminade.

He was quite the fixture at Blaisdell. Spent a number of nights in there with him at boxing and some MMA

I saw him at so many games at the HIC (Blaisdell) Arena in the past and now know his name, that he was the timer and scoreboard operator and one of his sons is Tiny Tadani. And about his not sounding the horn when the clock showed zero in the SMU vs Chaminade game in December, 1984.

Breur’s letter ran in the Star-Bulletin so it was made public in print and online (The Bulletin went online starting in 96). I looked for it in our old online Bulletin archives and can’t find it. Probably somewhere out there in cyber space from around 99 or 2000.
It also ran in the Advertiser but the Tiser didn’t go online until 2001. so you won’t find it in their archives.
Both Ann Miller and I mentioned his complaints about the coaches in our stories when he left for Pepperdine. Not the first time a player did so. He chose to be more public about it.

He played on the AVP and international circuits, has assisted at USF, helped run the USAV Aloha Region high performance sand program. coached a little at Punahou.

they usually don’t use the graduated seniors unless they don’t have enough at certain positions.
7. Maglio is with sand. She is fine. Don’t think she is traveling to Chula Vista this weekend. I could be wrong but believe they’re only taking 12 (6 pairs).
She should be at indoor practice Monday either way.
