This whole season WILL end up being a very real chess match for Dave.
Hope it all comes together in the end; they could (but not likely) go undefeated until then.

Arizona is way off the radar but they’ll surprise MANY as the season progresses. Hopefully it won’t be UH.

I’m esp. intrested in their game against U of AZ, now.
*Should their setting come together–their weakness–it’ll be tough.
Their roster is stacked with VBM Fab50 selections.

People will take notice, just as they always have, including last year’s win over Stanford in the season-opening tournament. Not to spoil anyone’s morning but it is sooooo early in the season. Consider that Stanford finished No. 1 in the RPI last year, the Pac-12 first or second in the RPI as a conference, but it wasn’t enough to keep Hawaii in the Top 16 in order to host first-second round. There is way too much volleyball yet to be played and Hawaii has no control over how its opponents will fare or how their opponents’ opponents will fare, which all plays into the RPI.
All Hawaii can do is keep winning and hope the teams they beat keep winning as well.

Texas came in No. 1, Hawaii 11 in a preseason poll where no one knew who had what. not a huge gap between 1 and 11 at the moment.
would say UH has Texas’ number. Longhorns won the the last time they played in Hawaii.
