As for the DS, the serving subs have been the same for a number of matches. Anderson and then Ponce/Guinasso. Why the complaint now?

#81 higgins did fine. She cannot correct lack of height. So this Kendra /Tayler combo thing I think is working well.
Anderson is doing awesome too. Like you said just getting some PT for the other ds’s.

77. not sure what you’re getting out in terms of blog vs. print. Although we can’t change the print edition we can change the online edition to correct things.

Regarding the pre-determined regional sites that apparently will be done away with next year (don’t know if it’s permanent) Shoji said on the face of it, he liked it because he feels that schools should host on campus rather than it going to a venue hosted by a school.

#83 not all of US have the means to travel with the team and support the team as you, but when some of US can we attend the matches, not living on Oahu, does that make you a better fan? did not know this was a completion between who loves the team more! read your blog, you really come off as a snob albeit a great wahine supporter which is great and we and the wahine probably thank you. just talking about the negative support, did not say if it was true or false, for a once beaten top ten team.

Bleachercoach, thank you for the feedback. I don’t know what contributes to having heavy feet (perhaps it was unkind of me to describe it as “cement feet”), but I started noticing the difference from watching the Big 10 matches. The Big 10 team players move their feet constantly. They don’t seem to set their weight as a linebacker does in football, but remain light on their feet. This may explain why the Big 10 teams are so competitive. They are really good defensive digging teams. West Coast players, on the other hand, set their feet before the ball is hit in preparing for a dig. I think that also explains why it seems some teams are unable to respond to dinks. But I am just a fan. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can better explain this.

82…False many of us are FAITHFUL fans. Do you travel and support the team $. Coach Shoji is doing a great job his great supporting cast of Hall, Ah Mow , Ka, Renae, and Jimbo. Some of our comments are just the truth. The team has many big time assets but there are still some weaknesses that should obviously be corrected at this college level in preparation for post season. About having ‘Cement’ feet, it’s all about repetitious training with quick feet, directional movement, and playing high energy always. Being low and ready rather than just going through the motion and playing lackadaisical contributes to “Cement ” feet

cannot understand why Shoji replaces Anderson at ds when she is the best server of the three he uses. I know he wants to give Ponce and baby G some PT but hey win the game first. He doesn’t sub Taylor when she’s having a bad game, like the last four games. The old saying if it ain’t broke don’t fixit should apply to Anderson. If he needs to fix something fix Higgins.
