They have no control over how the voting goes.

Where would the Bows be if Higgins sustained an injury? You need backups to compete at this level, much the same position that Maglio finds herself in, backup middle just in case Magill or Adolpho get nicked.

Ranking of 26th won’t sit well with the team, they know the implications that come with that. Maybe that has had an effect on Adolpho, knowing that it was coming.

Watching poor set selection and inaccurate sets does not “make” Kendra more ready to play. Faced with the known setter, why not try the unknown setter (who gives you a better block to boot?)

Once someone plays they can no longer redshirt unless injured thus medical redshirt.

Oregon remains undefeated. UCLA lost to LMU, who remains undefeated.

it’s 60 people voting. the points fall where they fall.
It’s perception. USC loses twice at home, they drop 4 spots. lost to TAMU 3-2, Florida 3-0. SC was No. 6, now No. 10.
San Diego loses twice to the same teams USC did they drop 6 spots to 19.
Texas A&M’s two wins over USC and USD pushed them from unranked to NO. 21.
LMU (9-0) unranked to 23.
Two teams had to fall out based on that. Hawaii was one of those.

the comment that some of the freshmen weren’t ready was a quote from Shoji, specifically Huff, who has been a middle and training on the outside for five weeks.
88. Koelsch cannot redshirt. she’s already played this season.

(a waste of a year for a good setter) Megan Huff needs to let it fly and hit away (all her shots are touch shots or dumps). Judging from the games played (and I’ve been to all of them) Guinasso is fair to middlng in the back row. The reason Taylor Higgins is dumping is due to the rotation where UH has only 2 attackers. In this rotation opposing teams are doubling up on either Magill or Greeley. Hence, a third option, setter dumps. If Shoji had a reliable 3rd hitter Taylor would be able to set the pipe set out of the back row.
