Megan didn’t decide until late last semester that she wanted to give basketball a try. She said she wanted to focus on volleyball before making any decision so once that season was done, she began discussion with basketball. There was a scholarship open and she is now on that.

When Beeman said she wanted to talk about things after the season, that will be with Huff and Shoji. She would like to avoid repeating the situation with Adolpho, who was totally committed to volleyball during fall and only came over to basketball after volleyball was done. Who could blame her? It’s her scholarship. Adolpho’s deal began under Takara-Dias.

It’s really up to Huff what she wants to do. For now, she says she’s handling it, did it all during high school. And she said she really wants to see how good she can be in volleyball

I think what Beeman would like is something similar to what BYU got out of Robins-Hardy, who was able to play both last fall and she would go back and forth between volleyball and basketball. But travel when playing for BYU is easier than it is playing for Hawaii.

Much would depend on the schedules for both teams.

Good all-around game for all the players. Despite Jennings needing to have a much tougher serve to be a six-rotation player, he bettered a handful of bad passes.
