She should be at 8

1. Florida State (13-0, 2-0 in ACC) ::: Best start in Noles’ vball history … FSU is listed as #1 in the unofficial daily RPI … HEADS UP: Official NCAA D1 RPI comes out next Monday (Oct 6) … Says me

2. Washington (13-0, 2-0 in Pac-12) ::: Senior AVCA 1st-team AA and reigning AVCA National Player of the Year Krista Vansant continues to deliver … Next up: USC followed by UCLA

3. Stanford (12-0, 2-0 in Pac-12) ::: In spite of Carly Wopat’s graduation, Junior AVCA 1st-team AA Inky Ajanaku has stepped up big time this season … While Stanford’s middles dominate, setter Madi Bugg remains the Cardinals’ anchor … Next up: Oregon

4. Oregon (12-0, 2-0 in Pac-12) ::: Senior AVCA 2nd-team AA Liz Brenner continues to make an early case for the Ducks … Next up: Stanford

5. Texas (9-0, 1-0 in Big 12) ::: Led by reigning Volleyball Magazine’s Player of the Year, Senior AVCA 1st-team AA Haley Eckerman continues to deliver for the Longhorns … Next up: Iowa St followed by Kansas

(Yes, this is my first post here of the season. After hearing Shoji say that refrain from last year, “It was ugly but we’ll take it,” I told myself I wouldn’t watch the Bows this season if I heard that refrain again during pre-conference. I never heard it again. So I’m back.)

yeah tai had to physically push mendoza on the side before she reacted to the ball falling and greeley down not able to get it. mendoza not to full libero caliber yet despite lots of digs.

the passing may be off but its not as evident watching the match on video. however i did catch one set problem by higgins which was probably a bad set and that was when greeley went down on the left side and struggled to get back up, higgins went ahead facing the same, set it that direction as if somebody was there.
additionally the libero mendoza may definitely need improvement including awareness. she had a lot of digs and appeared to dig alright but during that same rally mentioned above when greeley was down, tai had to push mendoza to get her attention to dig the ball over the net that was bad set by higgins to nobody since greeley was down.

the ucla one was a misfortune. but its over now. only way that could be prevented in the future is their experience and if shoji created something for training to squeeze every game out of each wahine.

*Youtube links already set to their respective times of serves.

Set 1: set point UCLA

FYI last season Tai did a standing serve.

* You do realize that all of UH’s home matches are on youtube and its pretty easy to go back and look at them including the UCLA match where Tai did in fact Jump serve on 2 set points.
