if she had played and gotten re-injured, then there’d be folks on here — probably you included — who’d be readily saying that it was coach’s fault for bringing her back too soon.

just sayin’ …

if you mean that shoji was cautious in making sure she was ready coming back from her injury … well, i think that’s entirely reasonable. why fault shoji for making sure she was healthy enough to play?

oh well. now the defensive players seem ready at least especially when they support each other. kahakai certainly supported mendoza, i guess the libero cant do it all by herself. but then again mendoza herself also seemed to have improved as she looks much faster than she was before. long also supported the defense, so you have a third defensive specialist in that also has a high velocity swing. kalei model g may need a tune up as she seemed easily sundered a couple few times and her fire rate hitting percentage was low.

Cindy, I think my computer is on the blink, this was the first subject posted on mine when I clicked on. Even the latest tech is not perfect I guess.

Considering the change on Sunday with Tai out, chemistry between the players may have been an issue. But they handled it well. Finally the team can gel and get their substitution rotation set.

There was definitely a cloud of uneasiness with the UH backcourt defense as to who was suppose to do what – especially in set 1. Watching yesterday’s Santa Barbara match, our backcourt appeared so confident in their assignments and for the most part did not hesitate. To me, Kahakai anchors the backcourt defense well with Sarah. If we had her, we would have beaten the Beach.

She may be trying too hard because she wants to live up to that and not disappoint anyone.

We all know that we are famous here for praising incoming kids to the high heavens declaring them future All Americans and Super Stars before they even sign the NLI. She needs to just let it come to her and it will come in time.
