Kanetake is doing a great job filling Matt Cheape’s shoes, and it really seems they ‘click’ better. Loved Jace Olsen’s quote today in the paper, too, about playing with your best friends. GO BOWS! All the way to Chicago!!

Think the discussion was about the PacWest adding men’s volleyball.

To start as the BW?

It would appear as though C.W. has his heart set upon Taylor A. being MB1.

West is the same age (as Davis), they’re both as lanky as all get-out, and Holt is 6’9″ supposedly.

West continues to sport those sideburns. I’ve not generally been a fan of those. 😉

UCLA, Pepperdine, Long Beach State, Stanford, Loyola Chicago (based upon returnees/Sr’s), and Penn State (always the automatic berth) for this years NCAA MVB final-tourney.

Yet as I can foretell, the Conference Carolinas champ is currently a crap shoot for advancement; only two will make it outta the MPSF; Penn State is a given; and although Loyola will end up being the regular season winners of the MIVA, I see them as part of an upset in their conference tourney by Ohio State (who’s led very well by a storied coach).

In the end I’lll go with UCLA, Pepperdine, Ohio State, Loyola Chicago, Mount Olive? and Penn State.

I do think that Ramos has got a specialty at digging/ball control however.

I also really think that Tiegs MUST be paired up correctly, in Beach, to be a repeat All-American this season.

They should have West back, which will help, although I think Holt’s done a really nice job.
I will pass along the kind words to my son.

UCLA, UCI, and then BYU. I like our chances if Wade continues to develop the new young gifted players he has recruited. I missed my first match in many years Sun. but Tiff did a great job of helping me get the feel of the action through his words eye description.
