If we don’t pass correctly it will be difficult to set up our middle attack. I think Annie appears to be effective at both positions so moving her around to help the team would be the way to go. I haven’t counted out our lefts. I like the way McKenna is playing. Dave appears to like Kirstin and I do too. She just needs more PT. I am a Kalei fan. I enjoy watching her in the back row and can’t wait until she is 100%.

Two middles, Sophia Howling and Skyler Williams, a opp/middle Shaney Lipscomb and Janelle Gong a ds/oh.

Norene sets the pins too often when the middle is wide open.

I think the present supporting cast is a little better but it is hard to judge since so many years have passed.

Believe she keeps the defense guessing, however, with a bit more distribution; their offense “can be” awesome. IMO think Berg is mentoring her to be more effective on her sets.

Annie adds one more dangerous weapon that will keep defenses honest. Also think with a little more confidence Emily can dominate. Casey and Sunshine do an okay job as the other MH, however, Emily, I believe is the key middle that has to shine every game if we are to make the final four.

The second part of the season begins…waiting to see.. -go Wahine

She needs to get off the net in transition and get ready to hit. One less option for Norene to set when Castillo does that and also the opposing team doesn’t need to try to defend her if she’s standing at the net not ready to hit….Dave should keep Mitchem on the left and play the Castillo/Burns combo whoever is playing better that night…

Anyone know the reason why Nikki didn’t play senior year?

Our “pin hitters”; Nikki, McKenna, Kirstin, Annie, and eventually Kalei, are pretty good. We also have a couple of recruits coming in next year who could help.

Maglio is too much of a force in the middle. I think she is much more valuable there than she would be on the outside. The fact that she is such a force, makes opposing teams key on her which in result opens the outside
