Finally I got to watch the Warriors play for the first time thanks to Northridge’s free video. Mahina Haina’s style of commentary reminded me to that of Lisa Strand Ma’a, sweet, mellifluent voice with a touch of humor. I enjoy listening to both of them though I won’t be able to listen to Lisa’s commentary until women’s volleyball returns this fall. I watched both replays so I knew the results in advance and relaxed throughout the matches. Saw Nick’s hand taped up. Most impressive was Taylor Averill. Guess his losing weight helped him a lot. He sure looks a lot trimmer and sharper.

Ramos’ sets were outstanding both matches. Everyone contributed, very much team victories. Still wrapping my head around how Northridge beat USC 3-0, and took Pepperdine to 5.

Just saw the replay on csun’s website, team was very efficient except for the service errors, Kanetake was impressive.
Was impressed with Mahina Haina as a commentator, she has a future in that I think.

This is a big win for UH. For the next several weeks if they can get a string of wins, it will set up their standings in the MPSF and national contention. CSNU is a rebuilding year and a different team than 3 years ago, with Jerod Lofy 6-9 for UH. UH lost.

I didn’t see the game, but the stats looked even all the way for the team to take 2 in CSNU. Good job for UH and their rotation.

Great job taking care of business and getting revenge on Northridge from last season, Olsen definitely the team MVP because he stepped it up big time.

The video didn’t load for me at all , what a bummer.

Zarkovic rebounded from Friday’s off night to finish with team-high 10 kills
Balanced attack with Sedore and Averill with seven kills and Olsen six.
2 aces, both by Sedore; 8 team blocks, Averill in on five. 13 SEs
UH hit 338 to CSUN’s 193.
Matadors got 12 kills from Freiha, 3 team blocks, 3 aces, 18 SEs.
Warriors host Cal Baptist Wednesday and Friday.
