18. not sure what you’re getting at. It was a direct quote from Hall. so the SID did his job. I did not repeat it in my story because I wrote my story before UH got quotes from Hall and put out the release. I had other quotes from Hall. Merely re=pasted the UH release. “long, lanky, silky smooth on the sand.” so i see nothing wrong with the entire description.

20. There are plenty of info out on indoor players. Some require subscriptions. Not exactly hush hush. There are no secrets when it comes to recruiting. Very hard to hide players these days, especially on the girls side with so many out-of-season tournaments like the JOs, Vegas.

19. the NCAA sets the scholarship limits. the .5 doesn’t go to another sport.
The idea is to balance out the scholarship numbers between men and women. women have no sport that is the equivalent to football in terms of number (85). So unfortunately how the NCAA chose to do it was to cut scholarships from other men’s sports. IE. Softball has 22, baseball 11. WVB has 12, MVB 4.5. Beach has 6.
It’s up to the coaches as to how they divide up the scholarship money. if a sport is ‘fully funded’ such as basketball, all scholarships are full rides, no dividing them up.

Damn…this what I was talking about…it seems like there is more information available for us fans to follow on the sand players than there are on the indoor players…Sometimes it seems to be a hush hush on the indoor players…Is that because of recruiting?…I know the football team did this so that other teams would not then start to recruit a certain player.

referring to previous thread, so that 4.5 scholarships are distributed however they are distributed namely it can be split between 9 players or half-scholie per each?

monetary-wise, its not exactly players get half-off price on everything? is that what you said cindy?

when i asked where does the other half (scholarship) go, i meant what sport in what gender is the other ‘.5 scholie’ allotted to by ncaa? (example: if baseball has ‘.5’ scholarship somewhere then thats where the other .5 went, unless the grand total of all scholarships allotted by ncaa to all sports in a school ends in a ‘.5′, which would be another reason to loathe the ncaa, sorry if thats ocd.)

remember micah hancock was a 5’ 11 setter and she was devastating. it said in the link provided by maverick on previous thread that norene has a devastating jump serve too. assuming shes not left-handed already, perhaps ka can train her to be ambidextrous if yall still arent satisfied?

perhaps should norene not redshirt, they can have her in as the second setter if tayler higgins apparently struggles again (that would be unfortunate since she would be a senior) and convert kendra koelsch into an opposite since she was a opposite/setter before UH?

10 and 11. shoji does what shoji does. either thats by design, to battle test them or who knows. the yielding to an unsavory basketball thing was ridiculous. if i were shoji i would of told basketball to kiss my grits.

13. lanky is defined as:
adjective (of a person) ungracefully thin and tall.

should of used better choice of words ie ‘slender’ rather than something ‘ungracefully’

but oh well thats your media ‘at work’ namely the SID on UH athletics. and btw cindy since you have it repeated for SA, it becomes your work too.

14) Actually wasn’t Michael Fisher considered the top local recruit that year? Along with Fisher and Fey, Nainoa Frank was also one of the top players. Glad Frank has found his way back to UH.

14. Not necessarily about the others walking on. They have a week to get in their NLI and perhaps Wade just wanted to put out the one he got since the rest of the UH teams were announcing theirs. Iosia didn’t have her signing ceremony at school until Friday (today), Sibley’s was Thursday. But both wanted to sign Wednesday on the first day and send it in.
