Nikki’s going to be an AA mention when this season ends. When she’s on the court good things happen, like an AA should impact the matches.

Looking at a couple of photos showing the height Magill can jump relative to the blockers hands, I don’t know why Hawaii doesn’t practice setting her really high. That way, she can hit at a height that would be beyond the out stretched hands of the blockers. She can then choose where she wants to hit the set. Higgins should develop setting Magill high and slow. No quick sets needed, the blockers would helpless to stop Magill since she would be hitting above their hands.

I don’t think UH has a scholarship for her, but sure I wouldn’t mind her on the squad the more the merrier. Hitting . 350 as an OH at any level is good.

128, her team mate Marisa Doran is putting up some great numbers this year as well, but is completely overshadowed by Annie. I wonder where she is going??

Need to develope another middle. Not knowing which Adolpho will show up. Her consistency has always been a problem and this is her senior year.

Play the freshman if you are looking to become a better team by year’s end providing the potential is greater than those of the jr class. If the jr’s have greter potential than so be it. If not, it would behoove coach to start a younger and bigger lineup.

Another positive of doing a 6-2 is that it’s good practice for next year when UH will have about 8 pin hitters available ( Taylor, Greeley, Olevao, Castillo, Huff, Passi, Long, Granato) Maybe 9 if Mitchem plays opposite.
Would be good to get 4 of them on the court instead of just 3.

Taylor and Greeley at OH
Magill and Mitchem at MB
Olevao & Castillo at OPP (front row only)
Koelsch and Higgins setting (back row only)
Kahakai at Libero
Baby G or Clare at Serving sub

It would be interesting again to run a 6-2
with Koelsch and Higgins, Magill, Maglio or Adolpho, Taylor, Greeley, and Guianasso. I just have a good feeling with this lineup.
You have a 5 blockers and 5 hitters…bring in Mendoza and Kahakai when Magill, Maglio, Adolpho rotates to the back…I know I am dreaming!! Wake up!!
