8. Well, can tell you that Charlie Brande, Dave’s former assistant, had the same thought about Greeley as a hitter when we were talking Wednesday. I think Shoji wants to keep her practicing at setter. I but could see her being subbed into the front row for blocking if needed. She’s very good at that.

4. I’m pretty sure this topics has been hashed out multiple times and Cindy made it very clear… From what she knows now, Kendra will not be used as a hitter. She’s the back up setter now. She’s not even on the depth chart as of now. Lets move on

4. Just because she can set doesn’t mean she’s suited for opposite. That depends on what Shoji wants from that position. If I’m not mistaken, Hawaii has recently been using the libero to set when the setter take the first ball. Some offenses use the MB. Besides, Cindy has already mentioned that it’s Passi and Long on the right. Might also be possible that Long is ahead of Greeley on the left as well.

I remember watching Robyn hit for the Wahine as a freshman. She had a quick-step approach to the ball. Enjoyed watching her spike. In a way, glad it was short-lived. It paved the way for her All-World performance as a setter collegiately, nationally, and professionally.

I was wondering is Kendra a hitter first then became a setter. I only ask this because I remember reading somewhere when Kyra Goodman was injured during a club game, that Kendra was the setter. Last year while watching the Ann Kang, I noticed that Kendra was comfortable being a setter and a hitter. I remember way back when Robyn was a hitter and had to be told to be the setter and didn’t want to because of Kari.

Sounds like Greeley would be more suited for the RS (Opposite) if she can set the ball that well for an Outside Hitter.
