51. sorry but can’t agree with you about the near flawless comment.
if you were anywhere near the court you heard the coaches making it clear that the set location was off. She has says her backset are better than keeping the ball in front of her.
but thought she played fairly well. But connection with the middles definitely need to be better.

It is apparent with 3 games under Kendra’s belt she has a lot of upside potential. Sunday’s game will help to gauge this potential. If UH wins soundly then it will be hard to decide who should continue as the starter at setter?

43. The 3rd set was 27-29, Colorado with the 29. How come, USC had a hard time at Colorado, except for the last two sets ? The altitude factor ?

#49. Imho watching Kendra in on a total of 14 blocks in the last three matches is a new dimension for opposing outside hitters on the left side. They have to honor her height and line shots are not given. Her higher sets to Tmo and Greeley also seems more effective than the quicker low sets that shoji mentioned she had to improve on. All in all she’s coming through like most ardent fans thought she would.

The top six in the nation: USC, Texas, Penn State, Nebraska, ASU and Washington will be a tough mix to crack. It is difficult to see an outlier included with this group in the final four.With the exception of Texas, the remaining five will face off with each other in conference play. That will have little impact on their ranking or regional host consideration. Texas beat Nebraska in preseason.
It will be surprising to see a final four without 4 of these teams.
But, that is why games are played. Parity makes for exciting play and pundit talk as reliable as tutus’ hunch.

now about this match…

a couple sets didnt connect between setter and middle but kendra played near flawless.

greeley was kalei model g! she was sharp on her blows during her kills.

tai was decisive. nikki doesnt need to be said.

a couple ‘needs communication’ issues especially from the beginning when kendra went after balls causing savannah to stop to avoid a collision. savannah herself was an amazing flying libero. bad ref owes her a dig and possible a point.

and na wahine shows like they are the number 1 armored (blocking) team!

i guess i might as well address poster 16 in previous thread:

starting with the most important one or two: i mock volleytalkers (especially when i mention them) or any poster i think would be involved with vt (because they are no worthy including you). AND ive been known cindy does not and cannot ‘close down the blog’, in fact i posted ‘knock knock’ (because nobody was posting, apparently yet) and this was way before you said somebody “claimed he never goes on VT was just there whining that Cindy locked down the blog.” that (you) sounded ridiculous right there.

vt is rubbish and bs. i only saw it for the first time, once, 2 months ago and declared it ‘tldr’ and ‘just a bunch of bull.’

Congrads to Kendra. distributed to all, TMO loves the high set, ditto with Greely. That one back set to Nikki late in the 3rd was so beautiful it caught CSUN with no block on their left. I would not worry too much about the middles, they will connect sooner than later. Still, there were several thunderous vertical kills, a good indicator of a juicy set. That is VB’s version of a dunk!
TMO looked special. So happy for her.
The team connects well w Kendra. She was digging well (#2 in digs) and was in on blocks. Great all around performance.
BTW, in response to #42, a lot of negativity was the result of Kendra and others not playing. As much as it may be annoying to folks to read critical opine, it is equally irritating to hear sugar coating when it is undeserved.
The team looked good tonight. They sparkled together. That is what happens when a good QB is running the team efficiently.
