My fault, I got the time wrong. When the Ferris Bulldogs tied at 14-14 after an 8-point run, I feared the worst as I reminded of how Cal Poly lost to the Fresno in similar fashion in the playoffs back in 1984. I was there to witness the disaster in person. Cal Poly was ahead 14-9 in the fifth set but couldn’t get another point as Ruth Lawanson (who later won a Bronze Medal in the 1992 USA Olympic team) rallied her team together and kept killing the ball. They beat Cal Poly 16-14 and I never forgave the team for that. In years to come I rooted most passionately against Fresno Bulldogs. Luckily BYU-Hawaii stopped a different Bulldog team from doing the same thing.

As for the game being too slow, that doesn’t bother me. Only poor quality broadcast bothers me.
