NCAA updated the ‘record’ thing. It’s actually only for volleyball at any division.

With the Golden Bears win, it becomes the longest streak of consecutive national championships at any level in volleyball. The record was shared with Washington (Mo.) at the Division III level between 1991 and 1996. The streak is also tied for the fourth-longest Division II championship streak in any women’s sport.

The seven total titles are more than any other DII program, with the next closest being Portland State (4) while Barry and West Texas A&M each have three titles

Every set they were tied 7-7 and then they pulled away to win their seventh straight national championship, a feat that no sport in any division accomplished.

Since Concordia is graduating five seniors this year, leaving only one senior for next year, while BYU-Hawaii will have a slew of talented seniors, next year be the year if they can improve on ball control and gain a few inches on vertical leap. They should come home proud that they made it so far this year. Better luck next year.

Shoji has, and it hasn’t happened.
