9. disagree with you about them out of the playoffs.and the ‘usual’ beatdown at stanford is an exaggeration. UH swept the two matches 2004-08, lost both in 09-11 and only once was that at Stanford (10), have split the series 12-13.
Still a lot of vb to play. but there looks to be 9 teams vying for 8 spots.
If UH loses tonight. They are tied with Stanford at 9-7 for eighth.
UCI will go to 10-7, tied with a fading USC at 10-7

It hasn’t been accepted yet, he could easily be let go, if they fail to make the playoffs which is likely if they drop this match to Irvine and then get the usual beatdown by Stanford in Palo Alto.
Remember they only made the playoffs last year because Cal Baptist was ineligible.

No idea who the transfer is, but I don’t recall Shoji using the words big time to describe Ashley Kastl when she transferred, he just said something like she is a good player.

By big time I’m thinking it’s somebody who’s going to start from day one. I would think it would be a freshman or sophomore, as I doubt a junior would transfer with one year left. That narrows it down somewhat as there are a limited pool of players transferring who could start for Hawaii right away.

Coaches must be really be pleased with how the weekend went.Shinn has been injured on and off but last she said about it on twitter she was cleared to play.

Any of you peeps figured out who this ” big time ” indoor transfer is yet ? I’m beginning to think maybe good but not so big time good.Time will tell.

Another rumor worthy of checking up on is that one of Germany’s top junior beach players coming to Hawai`i ? With Shoji having sons there who knows,might be something to that one.
