With so many of the top teams losing, anyone can take this year’s crown. No undefeated teams….no dominant team…Wahine just need to get hot at the right time. Better to slump now then in the tournament.

24 I have to say I agree. UH has talent, however, it limits that talent to their conference. Beyond that, they don’t have the talent to compete with Penn St, UCLA (Kidder and Love), Stanford, and yes, even Texas. Yes, they may beat these teams at times but they can’t maintain that level of play through six games in the post season. Probably UH’s best chance was with Willoughby and Kahumoku and that didn’t pan out. Then with Danielson against Penn State and that didn’t pan out either. But it doesn’t hurt to dream.

In spite of current situation, still believe that Wahine have a realistic chance of winning a NCAA championship, if they still believe and work to improve. All are correct, there is lots of parity out there, many great teams; and many are also experiencing losing. Believe this team is one of the special ones (they have kokoro), so, have visions of seeing them in the final four. -May the rainbow continue to shine for our wahine = go bows

UCLA,UTEP,Creighton,AZ,Santa Clara and South Dakota all lost.Wichita State was the only winner

This may sound negative to alot of you,and as a fan i hate to even think about it ,but afew of us were just talking about a national championship,and we all agreed that Shoji will not get another championship again.To many good teams out there. I also will have to agree about Kastl/Olevao.Best thing we can do is enjoy what we have and wish the team well.

I agree that Tai isn’t cutting but Croson is Struggling mightily at UA as well.

I agree with everyone’s assessment with Kastl. Tai Manu-Olevao is a good player but does not have anything more than Kastl. Olevao is a year or two to be that player we are hoping for. Right now, we need senior leadership and an attitude of passion. Kastl has that and experience. She was the leading Kill leader for Arizona St. Sometimes I just don’t feel Olevao and certainly not as leader. This team and the fans want a national championship now. Coach you make all the decision, but the starting line-up needs an overhaul and very soon

Olevao is not the answer at outside hitter. She is not powerful enough or creative enough to augment what hartong does. Kastl might be better if she ever got some consistent playing time. I don’t know what Shoji is waiting for. There is far more upside with Kastl if she works out. For sure she has more power than Olevao.

The Wahine miss Croson more than they care to admit as at least she could get the ball down on a consistent basis even if she was only 5’11.”
