Disappointed that Austin and Rosey didn’t play today against Russia despite the outside hitters on the team (dylan Missry and some one else) struggling and US getting swept again. Austin only got in as a serving sub once against Russia and Rosey didn’t get in at all and Rosey was the best outside against Cuba with ten kills and hit over .400, so I don’t get it.
Pat played well had some nice blocks but his serving was not on.

Gonna miss Marv Dunphy too! Back in the day when there wasn’t a men’s playoff ticket to be found, I contacted Pepperdine, he answered the phone and told me i was welcome to any extra tickets they had even if I was calling from Hawaii! My neighbor played for him and he praised how a great player and student he was. Just the nicest man.
