Well Huff has more competition on the volleyball team, Dave recruits top 100 and top 50 type players regularly and the basketball team does not.

9. agree. in the end Huff will make the decision. She knows she’s really good in basketball and she wants to see how good she could be in volleyball.
Still it is demanding to play two sports. She’s managed to do it well so far.

7. no one said Beeman was going to force anything however Huff will be on basketball scholarship so Beeman should have a large say in the matter. And she has said she wants more of Huff in fall. Huff was on volleyball scholarship until January.That won’t be the case this coming year.

Robins-Hardy didn’t play a lot of volleyball until the postseason (3 starts. 36 sets and 17 of those sets came in 5 NCAA tourney matches). It happened to work out with the basketball schedule. Impressive that she has made the NCAA tournament in two sports as a freshman

8. Huff started 2 games in basketball, in part due to Wahine injuries.
That she was a back up last year in volleyball was due to her being a freshman learning to play a fairly new position in a sport she didn’t have as much experience in as basketball.
Hawaii has a lot of talent coming in so don’t know where they will fit into the lineup or what that means for someone like Huff.

I know Megan is not a volleyball player nor a basketball player. She is a “remarkable” athlete. I feel she is that good to be great at both sports unlike many other 2 sports athletes in any college in the nation. She is very special!! Megan could be a could be the first Big West 1st TEAM player out of Hawaii for 2 sports In the same year. Maybe, we should allow Megan to decide her fate!!

I think Huff could be a starter if she plays only basketball. If she plays both sports she may be a back up in volleyball with not much playing time just like last year.

6. still hope he raises his hitting average before seasons end, when UH gives up long runs or gets in bad rotations it’s usually when Holts in the front row.

I hope Beeman does not make Huff decide between the two sports. Huff should be able to play both if she wishes too and maybe she can play both at the same time like Robins-Hardy did at BYU.

I just feel that Holt has gone from being very average to being a contributor, especially in clutch situations. I was basing my statement that Pepperdine is a better team by my eye test of watching both teams play. I am not up on the finer points of team strategy but what ever Hawaii did it worked for that match.
