This type of offense boils down to whoever has the better athletes. The future lies in deception and speed; neither of which Shoji employs. The only change he will admit to is “the players have to improve”.

have had a new link up for hours. Perhaps all the Mariota buzz pushed it out.

Glad she will graduate, the field will be wide open next year with her gone. Stanford will have a monseter senior class, but they are all over rated except for Inky Ajanaku.

Russ doesn’t have to coach. Everyone thinks he’s so analytic with his tablet and note-taking but he’s actually drawing cartoons. it is depressing to see how much our Big West conference is just on the fringe of the top 16. In fact thats being kind. While the Wahine need to rebuild the Penn States and other BCS teams are just reloading. (sigh). Losing Scott Wong doesn’t help either.

They beat Wisconsin fairly handily with Micah leading the way.

Penn State leading Wisconsin two sets to one. The announcers just listed all Penn State’s top recruits including several number ones. Just make one realize how hard it is to compete against traditional powers, which just keep stockpiling highly rated recruits. Of course sometimes Hawaii can sneak in an elite player like Emily Hartong, who was vastly under-rated. We’ll see if Annie Mitchem will fill that role next year.

To me, difference is Penn St’s setter, Micah Hancock. She is outstanding.
