The Hawaii men’s basketball team got under way with the first of 30 full preseason practices at the Stan Sheriff Center on Monday. “I thought the defensive intensity was outstanding,” UH coach Gib Arnold said afterward. “You could really see nice quickness defensively. Could Isaac Fleming be the Hawaii basketball team’s first verbal commitment for the 2014 class? Add one more player to the list of prospective walk-ons for the Hawaii men’s basketball team. Dallas native Warren Oishi, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound guard, is hoping to become the latest addition to the Rainbow Warriors roster while he tries his hand at the College Summer League in Manoa.
