new thread up for Thursday.
It doesn’t appear that the immigration policies will affect men’s volleyball for now.
it shouldn’t affect college athletes who are on vetted student visas nor the coaches here on work visas but who knows where things will go from here on out.
but stay tuned.
6. Worsley wasn’t flying all over the court because of bad passes, he was playing defense and went after balls off the block.

That is why he is such a joy to watch. He plays volleyball like it is a chess game. My only negative is that he has no yet developed the connection with his middles that is needed. It is there on occasion but needs to be more of a go to factor to help our outsides. I agree with what Hot and turfwar says, sorry noblesol.

Sheesh. Were you even at the games this weekend? Many of those digs by Joe were turned into points. That happens when your libero is a solid setter who is comfortable taking the second touch and also when your pin hitters are 6’8″ and 6’9″.

Good blocking teams will take advantage of the resulting highball over the shoulder sets going to the outlet pin.

He is very impressive and fun to watch. If he’s not setting, he’s flying all over the court on defense, not to mention those adrenaline-pumping single block jousts against much taller opponents.

2. Yes I still think UH has great depth and a lot of players can step in and get the job done. They’ve got a lot of options. Rosenmeier and Matautia are practically interchangeable. Then you have Cowell, who’s been effective as well. There’s Larson in the middle, Rattray on the right, Van Eekeren’s a good backup to Joe, and Gage and Namahoe are both options at libero. The availability of Matautia and Cowell also gives the coaches the option to move van Tilburg back to opposite if Parapunov is struggling.

Regarding prior topic post 37, the play by play does show subs and says Rado was subbed out for Stijn when the score was 11-6 in the 4th set.
After the matches, do some posters still feel that UH has great depth and first team talent this season in comparison to UCLA ? Matautia played well.
Irvine and LBSU are supposed to be pretty good too.

Sad news that Wahine basketball assistant Larsen must leave the USA. Will the Trump policies affect coach Milan too
and eventually the players from foreign countries ?
