An amazing blind crosscourt backset by J. Worsley to Parapunov puts Hawaii up 20-12. TO PSU

Rattray in for Parapunov. Penn State switches setters in Set 3.

  9. ManoaFan March 9, 2018 8:13 pm

Finally Rattray in! Getting tired of the big guy getting blocked over and over and over.

  10. Cindy Luis March 9, 2018 8:24 pm

    9. for sure Parapunov having an off night.
Hawaii up 14-10. TO PSU, one point from the TTO

  11. Cindy Luis March 9, 2018 8:26 pm

Rattray 4-0-7. UH up 15-10. at the TTO

  12. Warriorfan March 9, 2018 8:41 pm

brandon is a player, moving to opposite is good for him as he can just get up and blast away.

I think warriors need to work on their shorts serves, short serves to Delfalco all day long is how you beat Long Beach.

  13. ManoaFan March 9, 2018 8:44 pm

Rattray is terminal. I am not sure if he is a good passer but so far he really gave the team a lift and was ERROR free. As Debbie Green once said while LBSU was here in the 90s, volleyball is won by the “team that makes the lease mistakes.”

  14. ManoaFan March 9, 2018 8:45 pm

    least mistakes”

  15. Warriorfan March 9, 2018 8:51 pm

One off night doesn’t mean anything IMO Rado is still a beast, however Brandon’s and Austin’s , and Colton’s (against ucla) play just shows that they should be inserted whenever a starter is off. Still think the reason the Warriors lost the uci match was because austin/brandon weren’t inserted into the match to hit.
If your bench is deep prove it and use it.

  16. Cindy Luis March 9, 2018 9:00 pm

UH finishes it off 25-16. sorry kept losing the connection.

  17. Hot March 10, 2018 7:47 am

TBH, Rado is indeed a beast but he can tends to get blocked a lot. It’s nice to have Rattray ready. For sure Rado will get better as the season goes on and he’ll be even better next season.

i love Rosie’s attitude , no sulking and he understands that austin is killing it right now, he will get his time to save some matches for the warriors still.

  19. Warriorfan March 10, 2018 8:55 am

By the way seeing brandon hit and then watching current videos of recruits Devon and Filip, just wow, The warriors will have a lot of huge arms at the pins. Embarassment of riches. devon and filip might be the hardest hitters on the team next season.

Great win last night! Great crowd, it was really loud, starting with the intros.
Should be a good game tonight. Hope to see an even bigger crowd.

There was a recruit at the game last night, hope they decide to come here.

  21. Warriorfan March 10, 2018 9:46 am

Was it a warriors recruit? Maybe it was Humler?

  22. Warriorfan March 10, 2018 10:15 am

Are uh beach and tcu underway or is there some kind of weather delay? Cant find scores anywhere.

  23. jm2375 March 10, 2018 11:07 am

It was a Warrior recruit from Idaho.

  24. Warriorfan March 10, 2018 11:20 am

Idaho? i didn’t even know they had boys volleyball there is he a 2018 recruit?
Think arizona transfer Tyler Spriggs was there also hope the wahine get her.

  25. jm2375 March 10, 2018 11:29 am

    #24 – he is currently a HS junior, so a 2020 recruit. Hint: he’s a coach’s kid.

  26. Warriorfan March 10, 2018 11:52 am

    Debbie buchanan’s kid?
Just noticed UH beat tcu 5-0 Huge math coming up against fsu.

  27. Kazu March 10, 2018 12:15 pm

    # 26 Got to follow on UH beach volleyball twitter to follow tournament scores.

  28. rabbit ears March 10, 2018 1:18 pm

Coach hall needs to start looking at Bunn and Luyties. Give them a shot.

  29. setaone March 10, 2018 1:20 pm

#28, he didn’t bring any other players on this trip. Short sighted on his end, imho.

  30. Warriorfan March 10, 2018 1:31 pm

Oh well not a good road trip for beach team but they must finish 2-0 tomorrow.
Maybe switch things up? Move mags/Schucht down to third flight and the 5th flightt is struggling so put in Fitterer instead.

  31. turfwar March 10, 2018 3:02 pm

Austin Buchanan is a 6’7″ setter class of 2020. If he comes it would be the year after Joe Worsley graduates and he will be the second scholarship setter along with 6’6″ Jackson Van Eekeren.

  32. kahuna March 10, 2018 3:20 pm

Wade is getting smart. He is going after setters that are coach’s son. Joe Worsley and Jackson Van Eekeren are coach’s kids. Hopefully Austin can join the ohana.

Too bad UH couldn’t land Shoji’s son….or even Pono Ma’a’s son.

  33. Warriorfan March 10, 2018 4:10 pm

If Austin Buchannan is 2020 he must be a sophomore, Coach Wade will have to bring in a 2019 class setter also , saw on volleytalk they were after a setter from Virginia named Michael Wright and another joe , Joe Karlous from california.

new thread up with SandBows scores, PSU-Lewis link

Got scores from TCU and FSU site.

Buchanan is a sophomore, Debbie’s son.
Spoke with her last night. it would be funny since she almost played for Shoji. She was going to see Dave today I believe.
    32. need to let that go. Not like UH didn’t go after those two. They didn’t want to play here.
