They get pressured to go elsewhere. Not only did Siegfried went away, we lost Ryan Wilcox to UCSB so it’s an ongoing struggle to land the top local kids.

If the local kids doesn’t want to rep Hawaii, then good luck to them. I am happy with our mainland/international guys repping Hawaii very very well.

Guys like Pat Gasman, Joe and Gage, Rosey,, Carlton and the rest of the guys have made me proud. Good people, good citizens and great volleyball players.
