But starting to see an annoying team tendency to give up a big lead at end of set and let opponents back into the game. Also, a tendency to take their foot off the serving gas when they lead in sets, start trading points, and giving the opponent opportunities to regain momentum and go on runs.

No big complaints about the video stream. It could have been better, but wasn’t bad. It was HD quality. It wasn’t synced w/live stats, but that rarely happens anyway. The camera didn’t pan to follow the server, but it covered the whole court from a nice mid-court angle and distance, and only a little of the action outside of the court end lines was missed. The score was always big and easy to see on the press row sign. There was no sound, but will frequently mute anyway unless the announcing is knowledgeable and entertaining, which is rare away from the Hawai’i and BYU broadcasts.

In the second set, Humler was blocked, but the ball was saved because the block ricocheted off his head and onto the other side of the net. And in that final set, Rado and some great blocks on Jaylen Jasper. There were shades of the UC Irvine third set when the Bows lost four points in a row. Luckily they pulled it out after the time out.
Humler had a really good match hitting, and Voss had a really good blocking match. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s rematch. Hopefully they have the scores somewhere visible, even though it’s going to be a different gym.

ISP: Spectrum. Listening to audio stream on CBSSportsHawaii.com. Following action on LiveStats.

Someone should let Dave know Stanford’s head coach’s name is John Kosty. He keeps saying Jeff.

It’s 20-16, but set 2 has been over for a while now.

It isn’t blacked out in Hawaii. This has nothing to do with Spectrum. This is a online video stream provided by Stanford

I’m watch on an iPad on my home network near DC (Verizon Fios). To check, I fired up my phone, and it played will (Sprint Wireless)

Maybe it’s blacked out in Hawai’i. If it is, and you have VPN, set your VPN location to anywhere on the East Coast. That might work.
