When I re-watch the 2018 and 2019 UH-LBSU matches, I am struck that such a high level of competition came with high camaraderie. That is something that I have never witnessed. Kudos to LBSU’s players and coaching staff.

I was at the Stanford game on Saturday. Throughout the game, the ushers were scanning the bleachers looking for spaces to give to attendees in the gym. According to the people in front of me, there was still a line from the gym to the parking lot and this was during the third set.

What is the origin of LBSU MVB bench’s rowing during serves? It strikes me as 5-0, and thus, more appropriate for UH.

Amazing that Saturday’s attendance at the smaller venue was almost 500 more than the night before at Maples. Seems everywhere Hawai&ʻi has traveled to this season, they’ve attracted a huge following. Mahalo to all the UH fans living on the mainland.

1. mentioned last week that Friday and Saturday largest attendance of the year for the Cardinal. Hawaii has always traveled well, both the Warriors and especially the Wahine, and with Gasman and Worsley from the area, plus their Pacific Rim Academy club teams showing up in force, it was a very pro-Hawaii crowd.

Wow…how deflating that is for Stanford to have a ton of Hawaii fans doing the Viking chant at match point! If I was in the Stan and more than half of the crowd started doing the chant of their team at match point it would be totally demoralizing! Way to go Warriors and fans!
