Mike as a person was a great human being. I’ve tried to track Mike over the years and came up empty. I pray that whatever demons Mike was fighting are gone and he can rest in peace…

Solid point guard who had good skill sets plus coming from Long Beach Poly my high school rival “great championship game” as I came from Verbum Dei. Very tragic on his death as he deserve better. Hopefully all ex uh players are living comfortably in life as tomorrow is never promise. Technology today does offer so many options staying in touch while also reaching out lending a hand to a fallen bow. No shame about poverty and homelessness a it exist today regardless who you once were. Reach Out !

Only a program like D1 Hawaii would allow its player to forget and be forgotten. Other programs on the mainland would certainly take care of its own. So sad…

Oh really? Explain the sad circumstance of Declan Sullivan, then. Who was actively ATTACHED to Notre Dame with HIS tragedy. He wasn’t the only one who knew high winds would occur that day. I would think the meteorology dept. there ar that smaht school would have known. Sullivan being actively attached to he program apparently wasn’t enough for the mighty, storied Irish coaching staff to have used common sense and having Sullivan refrain from doing video that day—noooooo. Especially because Sullivan was most probably perceived as “oh, just that assistant”: [ http://www.espn.com/college-football/news/story?id=6219373 ]

And that’s just ONE example.

In reality? “Only a program like D1 Hawaii”’s own stories and tragedies don’t seem to earn an ESPN 30 for 30. Talk about “so sad.” 🙄

On second thought, let ESPN have their selective tragedy shows. Reardon’s piece here beats ALL of their sometimes head-scratching episodes.
