new thread up for Sunday with SJ-USD links and scores

couple of comments
24. They were here until 3 a.m. trying to get the box scoreIt’s not that UH is not getting its act together. The new stats program is having a lot of problems. This is an NCAA-approved program but nationally already the Big Ten said they are not going to use it, as are several other programs saying so. It’s not mandated but I would not be surprised if UH drops it and goes back to what they were using.

17. Sibley went in as a blocking sub for Van Sickle. Agree she is not a great back row player but she does give them an attack option from 3-meters. Eventually was subbed out for Okino (L)
Not sure if Akana and/or Ross will suit up. Ross wasn’t even in the arena Saturday but I saw her earlier today so at least she was well enough to go to pregame meal.

18. In Sweden, English is considered a core subject, along with Swedish and math.

26. I wrote somewhere that Ah Mow said Wagoner has the highest
VIQ she’s seen.
Agree that the freshmen are very impressive.

Wagoner is really skilled with high VBIQ. She is going to be one of the cornerstone of the program.

It also affects the box scores:
” As many as you saw, live stats was down from the TTO in Set 1. This is a software problem with a new national stats program.”

24. There were these stats posted earlier on the hawaiiathletics website:

Usually they are on top of these things, but really they have not been these past couple matches

We suffer from the same thing we are in lower level section 18.
The negative stuff about our own players

When the game get tight and things don’t go well, they just keep fighting and continue to compete. A lot of young players would clam up or go into some kind of funk. These girls were rock solid.

Not only they displayed great physical skills but also big time mental toughness. Both USD and St. John were experiences teams while UH was put together only a few weeks ago.

Great Job Ladies!!!!

She doesn’t get much notice so I thought I’d mention it.

17. The stats say Akana played in the 2nd set and had 1 solo block.
This is a killer for all the players to play 3 days in a row and the Wahine had to play 5 sets each in the first two days.

We, too, suffer from listening to non-stop commentary from an individual in our section. It is highly irritating and I often wonder if this person is just trying to show off his/her knowledge of the game. Nothing to do about it.
