I think video makes a difference. I can write what is said but can’t get the inflections that video can give.

Actually St. Mary’s won the first two sets. There had been an error in the scoreboard. Again, it’s mainly the middle blockers carrying the Cal Poly team. The second set was the closest, but still, Cal Poly hasn’t won a set so far.

Friday afternoon comment: Cal Poly lost to Kentucky 3-0 and is now playing St. Mary’s having won the first set. So far, Torrey van Winden hasn’t played. Middle blockers are hitting more than twice the average rate of all the other hitters. None of the hitters are as productive as Adlee van Winden was last season. They all seem weak. With this current Cal Poly roster, Hawaii will be able to beat Cal Poly twice in regular season. Definitely Cal Poly is overrated and I’m saying this as an alumnae of Cal Poly.

I can see why Robyn will have a hard time to decide on a starting lineup. She has so many talented players. My guess is that she will vary her lineup just as Karch Kiraly did with the USA women’s team in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) back in June. It took about five weeks until he settled on the ideal lineup to win the entire VNL championship.

This is getting to be too much…LOL! I haven’t seen this much great coverage about everything in a while and I’m acting like a sponge wanting more! Amazing interview by your son of Robyn! Agree with Tongo, he did you proud!! Also agree with H-man, glad to hear about Sib finally playing to her potential. She had always been in the background, it’s time for her to shine as well!

Enjoyed the video interview with Robyn. Good work. Nice to hear her mention the turnaround for “Sib” (Kirsten Sibley). I’ve been waiting for her break-out season. Maybe this year. Also except same from McKenna Ross. Go Wahine !!!
