Next up for Cal Poly UCSB.

We not only got sweept on Saturday, we got smoked…. Team had no energy and made tons of unforced mistakes. Loss had nothing to do with how coaches substituted or had nerve to do so. The lack of a go to player has been a issued from day one but team had enough spirit and effort in previous matches to make up for the lack of a go to person. No matter how good of players a coach has, if the team is not ready to play, it can be upset. That’s where the coaching needs to be able to see what is happening in the locker room and address the issues before the team gets on the court. I read somewhere in the paper after the game a comment from Robyn that she noticed a lack of energy in the locker room and during warm ups…….??

I agree with you totally. In reality we would be better suited in a NIVC tournament. Just to get into a NCAA Tournament would have been a monumental feat this year! I do not underestimate the effort and heart of this team. We had no true athletic leaders you could go to if you needed the “Sure KILL” consistently. (Aka, Nikki Taylor, Emily Harding, and Kim Willoughby) to name a few. Let’s Be Real!! Its is the good coaching that we have reached to where we are and not sitting in the bottom half of the Big West Conference this year. This is a great group of hard working and ‘never say she’s attitude bunch of volleyball players. Although they can be a scrappy at times , no one really possessed that explosive jumping, quick footed athlete that is so DYNAMIC!!
If you don’t have a player or 2 players like that on your team , our expectations should not be high anyways. With all that said, I am proud to be a fan of Hawaii and still love the passion the girls deliver week after week

I think would save money too.
But was it Riley of mbb that didn’t like it ?

RPI futures have them in the mid 50s with TWO more losses so IF they win out, its VERY possible they get an at large, especially with pepperdine, Cal Poly and two irvine wins.

If you watch Nebraska Volleyball she implied that the big ten was basically the highest level of college volleyball (Didn’t want to knock Texas). And her future goal was national team and Olympics.
