15# Mags is definitely a fan favorite. The entire senior class will be missed. What wonderful young women.

Hoping for a good start against a good team tonight, so much so, am making the trek to the Arena. This game may swing their situation into post season play “when” they win, so crucial tonight.

Love Mags this year. She is quiet and carries a big stick. She’s got these facial expressions that are nasty and sometimes so cute. Hoping she gets a great featured write up this year, she has been a great model Wahine. Go Bows

I think she is 5-10″. Whatever, but she really stepped it up this year.

How were you able to watch the Cal Poly – Davis match? It wasn’t shown online according to the Davis and Cal Poly websites. I wish I could have watched the match. Yes, Taylor Nelson is a great setter. She played for the USA University team this summer. She was also high school Gatorade player of the year and daughter of Cal Poly volleyball player back in the eighties. You sure are adept in analyzing strengths and weaknesses of teams. It will be interesting to watch UH play Cal Poly next month.

Poly’s setter Taylor Nelson is terrific. Not to take anything away from their hitters, but she set to her OH hitters on a dime. They rarely have to adjust their approach.

She set a really well distributed, fast ball, D set, pipe, in front of middles. Her sets on the step out were particularly impressive. They were mostly back sets. Again, the MH rarely had to slow down or adjust their stride. This fast back set is bound to keep our middle blockers guessing all night.

She attacked as well, put up a decent block and went on a few serving runs. She will be the key to the game play by taking her out of her passing rhythm.

with the precision sets, Poly has numerous offensive threats. They are at times slow to close the block leaving split seams and often left the line open. Our hitters can capitalize on quick, precision sets as well. Tough serving (especially deep line) may give Poly some trouble.

Overall, they are definitely the team to beat in the Big West. With a great game plan going in, our girls will give them a good game (hopefully more than they can handle). Go Wahine!

I hope no one is over looking the importance of this weekend. We need to send a clear message that we are good and getting better! Granato has really made me eat my words. I love it. I remember when Castillo and her mom came for her recruitment visit and I thought she could be a stud and she is. Iosia is the best setter around and she is getting better under Robyn ‘s guidance. There are so many contributors it makes for great entertainment.
