new thread up for Thursday.
As mentioned in the original post, I believe Hawaii is waiting on all to sign before the release goes out.
This has nothing to do with Media Relations. First the NLIs have to be cleared through compliance.
As for Granato, she is one of 20 Wahine every to reach 1,000 kills.

Everybody on the court will have a role and each role is just as important as the others. Without a good pass a terminator will not have a good set to hit and the setter does not have many options.

Riley will play a pivotal role on the team.

Having terminators on the team does not always equal wins. Look at us this year. We don’t have a true terminator but we are 10-2; in conference. LBSU have Arizona transfer Taylor Spriggs and Nebraska transfer Kashauna Williams, yet they have a record under .500 in conference because they suck at passing.

UCSB Lindsay Ruddin is the premier terminator in the conference. How good is UCSB??

I want a well rounded team. A well rounded team do the little stuff well. Passing falls under the category of “little stuff” to some.

“If you win the pass and serve game, you will win a lot of matches”…that is the quote I hear from the volleyball commentators all the time.

Agreed that Greeley was very solid when she was healthy and UH would be lucky if Wagoner turns out like her. But they still need a terminator to have any chance of going far in the postseason.

I just watched Huff play online against Alabama.

I watch with awe every time she plays.

I was happy for her when she made First Team All-Pac 12.

I was in Laie when Hawaii played a neutral court game on the BYUH campus against Texas A & M.

I have a theory that game was a contributing factor to her transferring.

She was a good volleyball player, too.

She made the right decision.

I believe they’re equivalent to a Public Relations function and are the ones responsible for coordinating, preparing and releasing information including recruiting status.

Five freshmen is a lot for one class when you only have 12 to give. I would hope that maybe a transfer or two around April or May 2019 to fill the team. Unless of course a top 10 recruit is available lol

Sounds kind of weird to allow volleyballers to recruit year round. I guess its a minor sports and they don’t need split signing period.

This is the volleyball early signing period and will only last for two weeks.

One huge signing period from November to August sound ludicrous. Why would the NCAA allow volleyballers to have such a long recruiting periods while other sports have limits on went they can recruit and stuff.

You must have mistaken August 1 from Dec 1. If I remember reading correctly. this early signing period started November 14th so two weeks would make it Dec 1 not August 1.

No more fall and spring signing period for volleyball , it’s just one huge period from november through august.
