10. They still have scholarships left. They are still looking at players, including a setter.
As far as I know, Cheri Boyer’s daughter, who is a setter, still available after de-committing from USC.

It looks like we only have 1 setter (Iosia) until 2020. Umm? Bailey Choy coming back for her Senior Year. (1 and done)

I find this weekend’s SandBows pairings interesting. I think with Maglio coming in next semester, all the pieces will start to come together. Here are the pairs I would like to see (and possibly in this order):

1) Maglio/Homayun
3) Ozee/Dreeuws
2) Martin/Scoles
4) Loker/Huddleston
5) Napoleon/Russo
6) Hurkett/Forbes

I think Russo has been a huge surprise. Also, I think the Loker/Huddleston pairing will be super solid.

I always cut freshman some slack, no matter how high they were ranked/evaluated coming in. It’s a time in their lives when change is coming at them like water from a fire hose. Next years indoor recruits are promising, but the learning curve is still there and it’s steep. I’m expecting a lot of up and down play against the non-conference schedule next year. Cal Poly will be the pre-season favorite to repeat as BW champs. It will be fun to see how quickly next year’s team can get it together, but I’m not expecting the conference crown in 2019. By 2020 though, lookout.

3. Agree one sport is enough but if she had only played basketball, i speculate think she may have been good, she looks fast and can jump quickly.

I may be wrong but another factor I read
that Riley is coming here is the other D1 schools recruiting her was mainly for a defensive specialist and our coaches will give her the OH opportunity. She is pretty similar to Iolani ‘s. Ogilvie’s offense and defensive skills. From judging her height in a photograph taken last year when she received the scholarship from Hawaii, she looked more like 5’10-5’11” than 6’0″. Regardless, she made 2nd Team AVCA All -American (Top 48 Athletes in the USA) which is a super unreal accomplishment. I really love the story Cindy and I am looking forward to seeing her contribute either offensively or defensively. She looks like a really good athlete!! A Gem!!!

1. It is hard enough to play one DI sport, let alone 2, particularly when the seasons overlap.
Don’t believe she played high school basketball.
