I do remember that night. Banachowski was such a class act, humble and a legend in the volleyball community as Dave was. Not too many dry eyes in that arena when he stood and waved at his recognition. Although the retirement party at the SSC was nice, they could have offered better pricing to allow more people to come and join him in his once in a lifetime achievement. We all love you coach Shoji! Mahalo nui loa for all the years of sport and enjoyment you allowed us to participate and appreciate! GO BOWS!!!
