As for the banquet, under Ah Mow it has been right after senior night. So this was the third year. It’s because the families are in town and get to celebrate with the seniors.

Then up to regional in Green Bay. Hawaii had a swings at match point at 14-13 and 19-18. There was a controversial call that should have given UH the match. con’t remember exactly but think it was a line shot called out that was in.

9. I was surprised that they even won the conference ( never expected that ) much less making it to the sweet sixteen. All this years Freshmen should be so much better next season. Just got to find some one to replace Iosia and her serving. I still think that they should have waited for the banquet until after this whole thing was over. I never realized that they had their banquet until the next day. So soon this year.

Yup, agree. Giving their best is more than enough. They’ve already surpassed my expectations. Just getting to the tournament as Big West champs was great. Everything from now is gravy.

Yeah…I hope the girls don’t feel the pressure to win. If they win great. If they give their all and come up short, that is great too. That is all we can ask of them.

I know the coaches want to win the championship when they are this close but I hope they don’t put the pressure on them to win it for the state. They already made the state proud. Just 100%!

I know you can do it, you did it all year and you can do it again. make Hawaii proud of you. but no matter what happens, we are all proud of your accomplishments, it has been a truly great, exciting and successful season. please continue it next year. thank you so much.

For you fans who made the trip, welcome to Wisconsin. I truly hope every team plays their very best this weekend and I would love to see Hawai’i v Wisconsin on Saturday–but both teams need to first take care of business tomorrow.

All four teams will have open practices today (Thursday): Wisconsin 12:00-1:30 (CST); Texas A&M 1:45-3:15 (CST); Nebraska 3:30-5:00 (CST); and Hawai’i 5:15-6:45 (CST).

Glad the team has those great green beanies to help stay warm.
Obviously, don’t know regulations, but H-Zone, UH Athletics should sell those hats– good money maker!! H-Zone needs stronger buyers to bring in more interesting gear…like those green beanies.

OT: The NCAA Men’s Final Four will be here, in Fairfax, VA (a suburb of DC). With some luck, I’ll be able to cheer both the Hawaii men’s and women’s volleyball teams at the NCAA Championship Tournament in the same year!
