6. good morning. don’t remember mentioning a foreign setter but I am getting old
8. thanks. my thoughts exactly. Haven’t had a chance to speak with her. was told she’d be at fall camp in August as she finishes her degree.
i have heard nothing about redshirting either setter. both do have a redshirt year. We’ll see what happens in fall.

Bailey probably waited for her senior year to transfer because she wanted to finish what she started and wanted to get her degree before entering graduate school at UH. It’s a very admirable position to take IMHO.

Not everything is about volleyball. You can tell a lot about a person’s character by the way they go about their commitment. Coach Beth at Utah gave her a chance and Bailey fulfilled her part by getting a degree from University of Utah. Now she has one year to play in front of family and friends and start a new chapter in her life.

Great news. Congratulations to Robyn and coaching staff. Their building effort is paying off. Hoping the Wahine commit on their own to come into the new season already in shape, fit, strong and at the top of their game, like the guys did for their past season, and can rock and roll right out of the starting gate!!!

What a catch! Did Bailey say why she waited until her senior year to transfer? The competition for prime setter will be fierce! It will only make them better! I hope they’re not going back to a 6-2, I think too many weapons are going to be available to do that.
Also, Cindy, you mentioned the certainty of a “foreign” setter coming on board this year. Any update to that?
Can’t wait until the season starts!!! GO BOWS!

I don’t know if it was in the plans, but Bailey’s addition solidifies the Wahine. I was stoked with the play of Jolie Rasmussen in the spring game, but getting Bailey…..What a coup in getting her!

If Iosia or Choy has a redshirt season available, uh maybe, should use it? We could have a senior setter for a 2yr span and a mentor for Lang in Fall2020. JTOL
