In all fairness to Granato, I think an overly large burden is placed on her shoulders so she doesn’t just have to play steady in big games, she needs to be truly outstanding. Like Tai Manu-Oliao before her, they are both extremely talented hitters with canons for arms, but both undersized at the short side of 6’ and both had bouts of passing woes. I’d say Granato has it even tougher because Tai had Nikki to be the primary outside weapon, and Nikki and Kalei both played six rotations while Granato is now the only hitter capable of that. So both players were heavily targeted on serves, and both could not hit OTT against big blocks. but they excel despite those issues.

Wahine need to keep feeding Mags, but Kendra has to come through and hit better the rest of the way.

Beating poly is key, regardless of todays results. If poly does lose and UH wins, sure they are in 100 percent, since they would be the auto, but even with poly winning today and losing friday, RPI futures has us mid 30’s I believe, Which is fine.

the team has a big block that teams are realizing they need to dink it over. The team needs to take advantage of the block by getting those tips. The block is also slowing down the ball for digging. They will need every advantage they can get!

Even if they are .500 in conference, I would not be surprised if the Pac-12 sends 6 teams as usual this year.

Shoji teams have been stiffed in years past with decent RPI’s, so our only path looks like Cal Poly getting upset by UCI AND us beating them to claim a true BW championship. Tie-breaker doesn’t look to be too friendly this year. I’m sure Hawaii fans know this and will be watching tomorrows Cal Poly UCI match intently.

That would really help. Actually I like Granato hitting hard. We have to many dinkers as it is. She does a good job of tooling the blocks
