Not a lot of love for the Big West players, or non-Power 5 conferences.
Van Winden sisters and Ruddins all named honorable mention

Too funny that Torrey Van Winden didn’t make AA. All the Cal Poly fans thought she was a shoe in for 1st team AA. It’s called bachi. They were so arrogant that they didn’t think Hawaii should make it into the NCAA tournament. You could see it on their faces during the selection show that they didn’t think Hawaii was deserving of getting in.
The last vein of Long Beach glory, via Purdue, smh, will graduate a 2x aa. Wow. The BWC sucks. I personally have never thought TVW to be all that great; she was merely an all Pac12 frosh. The older VW sister plays by a different set of rules. I’m jaded but the best player I ever thought a Cal Poly Mustang to be was Kim Kaaiai (S/OH University High c/o 88). haha Too bad HC Wilton was a bit too Marine; something virtually non existent these days. A girl gets sixed in the face and they call it a concussion, medically, these days. WTx? a bloody nose back in the day was little to keep one off of the court.
What’s the story with Alabama? new HC soon? three returning setters in 2019 and a decent incoming setting recruit?
They call it a concussion because it is a concussion. Torrey Van Winden ws very deserving of AA.
The difference between playing w “heart” and w/o. There was only one match that this had ever happened to me; I was never so confuse w amnesia or had lost consciousness, to have wimped out of play. An inflated ball is never the same as a brick wall, no matter who has hit it at you. molten/tachikara are all call “Soft Touch.” You get bet into the match and try to return the favor. Grit.
Torrey’s future in on the beach. She had her chance at indoors, while she left UCLA.
and I’m not “confused.” — ever. lol
called on the carpet or not.
just get back (right-back that is), play w an intensity, showstopper.
I miss Melody Toth.
Stanford up 2-0 on BYU. Stanford is dominating so far.
BYU just not the same team on neutral court. Stanford’s block, along with libero Morgan Hentz’s digs, totally stymied BYU’s offense.
They did a fantastic job picking the All American Team (1st to Honorable Mention) I feel that Tita Akiu could have been chosen on the “Honorable Mention” Team.
Wow after watching Stanford demolish BYU, I feel Stanford could win the National Title. Their Libero, Morgan Hentz is Fabulous! Their whole team is solid and very balanced. Very excellent attackers and huge block!
Me too. I think they got the AA Team right. Tita Akiu should have been HM.
new thread up for Thursday.
Agree that Akiu could have been but ….
