The 808 Passing Academy, which is running a free camp this evening at Aloha Stadium, had a coaches meeting yesterday at Mama Manoa. Sean Schroeder, the camp’s founder, hosted the meeting. One of the coaches is Greg Salas, holder of the UH career receiving record. Salas has a pizza named in his honor:

The Warriors are conducting a free clinic for high school-players today on the UH-Hilo campus. Slotback John Ursua, who spent most of his youth on the Big Island, is among the featured instructors.

Nice pics. Thought Kohl Levao was a guard, but tackle, that’s cool. Interesting to see who will comprise the first-team O-line.

    Great pics!

Just have to say, wow, wow, wow! Awesome World Cup game between Spain & Portugal! One of the best I’ve seen in 30 years. Ronaldo is da man!!!!

Awesome and happy that some of these young men are working-out and etc. What I don’t like, is in some of the pictures of the O-linemen, the technique looks really poor, leaning forward, feet are narrow to each other, standing straight up, and poor hand placement. In every picture it’s as if they are getting beat!!. I was coached by Brian Derby, Keith uperesa, and attended coaching clinics with Coach MIKE
    CAVANAUGH.

The O-line needs to be on point!

If they are out there practicing poor technique then it’ll be more regression instead of progression.

The battle is won in the trenches. Fundamentals!
