• Notable changes to roster:
> Slotback Nic Tom is retiring from football because of a recurring hip injury.

> Offensive tackle Austin Webb will not play this season while recovering from a leg infection.

> Defensive tackle Ka‘aumoana Gifford is suspended for this season.

(Naotala, who was seriously injured in an accident off Waikiki Beach on July 1, has been transferred to a hospital in Colorado that specializes in spinal injuries.) Donations may be made at any Bank of Hawaii location. In addition, checks should be made payable to the “Friends of Kalepo Naotala Fund.”

An excellent pick up. We beat out San Diego State.
Really was looking forward to seeing Nic Tom on the field. He might have been a Chad Owens re-mix.
Al
Augafa will be in training camp. He and KK Padello were inadvertently left off the list
Good luck to Nic Tom!

UH at UCLA football game on Sept 9.
7 weeks from now!
Come join our group of almost 400 UH fans on the Hawaii side line in Sections 6H, 7H & 8L; 10-54 rows up around the 5 to 20 yard line. these sections are closer to the field as this stadium curves in & this is where visiting fans sit. This stadium has 77+ rows so this are great seats closer to the field. let me know if you want these tix as I had to pay for these upfront. Text me at 415-324-0585. Prices are $69 or $89 (Sect 6H). These seats have backs (not benches).

A “bunch” of those names would’ve contributed this year … next man up …
Can’t wait for the season to start … just bought my season tickets …
LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … GO ‘BOWS … !!!!!
Oto needs another semester before he can transfer to a Division I school.
Losing 4 scholie OL (Taylor, Tupai, Hauani’o, Webb) leaves only 12 scholie OL entering Fall Camp.
OL will definitely be a top recruiting priority for the Class of 2018……since 4 more scholie OL (Allen, Wa’a, Norman, Posa) will be done after this coming season. Hopefully can land the top local Class of 2018 HS OL (Uluave, Veikoso, Hatchie).
DE will also be a top recruiting priority for the Class of 2018…….with Tago dismissed……and Meffy & Manoa done after this coming season. Hopefully can land the top local Class of 2018 HS DE (Emmsley, Welch).
6:30 a.m.
Antemeridian…aka early.
Das it
Good morning
Rolovich intent on winning MWC with this team’s personnel.
“and we will do it on defense”
Long article by ST in SA. preview of team.
don’t see blessman ta’ala on roster
After a rough opening debut, Kyle Von Ruden is making the most of his second chance.
In six starts, watch his ERA shrink: 15.75, 13.00, 10.29, 7.29, 5.93, 4.98.
Josh Rojas hit three home runs in two games. In the first game, he went 4-5 with two home runs and six RBIs. Rojas, in a three-game span, was hitting as if he was on a WAC road trip.
Player attrition is common for all teams in a rugged game. UH will be fine with the talent upgrades that are taking place.
Looking forward to bigger and better things under Coach Rolo in 2017. Gotta avoid that “Soph Jinx” that often hits teams on the rise. This team could eventually make all this talk of a 35,000 seat stadium modeled after Boise State a moot point. I see no reason not to build a 50,000 stadium made from concrete with all of the modern features (luxury boxes). Reminds me of when Legislators were pulling for s 4,000 arena in the UH Lower Campus before the SSC was eventually built. Mahalo to the late UH AD Stan Sheriff for setting them straight.
Old School Dave-from one Dave to another, could not be said any better! GoWarriors!!!!
Nice coverage today by Stephen-two OL were not mentioned Emil and Eperone. Based on Eperone’s fr. year unless there’s something I don’t know he will have an impact. Emil was specifically brought in I think to make the depth chart. The other youngsters are gonna have to buck up real quick. Same thing on DL. 3 or 4 newbies including rs better be ready to rev up the engines. The lost players I certainly have an opinion-Wolfpack and KG are losses and I will leave it at that-GoWarriors!!!!!
Maddog:
Emil Graves and Eperone Moananu should be good to go.
Graves was competing work on a class last week.
One final note: Tyrus Tuiasosopo, who did not complete in spring training or the offseason conditioning program, is no longer on the team.
