Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Much better than UNLV’s.

Utah St Athletic Operating expenses for 2016-17 was $34.2 million while UH’s was $48.9 million. This is not the capital outlays though.

McKenzie Milton being carted off the field after suffering an apparent right lower-leg injury. Tough to see something like that happen to an outstanding young man.

Next year Laulu maybe? …….Please.

Some 11 personnel (using Torres as “H”) and some 21 personnel (with Furuta as FB) to attack running lanes or to max protect. A series where Cole can utilize his running abilities and O-line can really get after run blocks. A ball control change up series (part “wildcat” part RPO) here and there for opposing defenses to have to prepare for as the offense transitions (toward the two freshmen) in the near future. Nightmare. Plus Cole will be WR (probably slot in RPO package, WR in RnS) so may be on the field often. I’m hopeful this will happen. Just imagine.

Even Florida schools have in-door facilities. Get too many “Niele Eyes” even at closed practices held on the grass fields.

Hiring a Football Specific S & C coach is a primary and urgent need at the moment, though.

One major reason USU pushed around UH, especially on the interior lines:

When combined with true RnS formations where receivers can run free toward “space” it can make this offense unstoppable, particularly with Cole as QB (he had a nice run vs Nevada with a unreal burst on 4th quarter keeper) who can better keep defense off balance with his running abilities. Just need to protect/run block better, especially on 3rd down to extend drives.

The best slant receivers for the RPO formation are Stubblefield and Armstrong-Brown. Put them in the spot that Ursua and Byrd are usually in. Align Holly from “pistol” (he is better downhill) or Reed from offset (to attack G-T or T-outside lanes, not middle). First and second down ideally. Third and long (7+ yards) then back to true RnS. You can see Rolovich switch up RPO and RnS packages down to down which might be throwing off Cole’s rhythm. Seems like he gets comfortable in one or the other and then it changes at odd times (my opinion), throws him (and O-line too) off. Chevan doesn’t waste time in when in RPO, he’ll just handoff to RB. No reading defender for him (yet) trying to throw to someone who doesn’t want to catch the ball in traffic. Good idea. Save that for Cole.

This game can be the turning point for the program so how Rolovich handles this opportunity is going to determine a lot of things. Things that we can only imagine UH could become. Rolo is still learning how to manage as Head Coach so he may learn things “the hard way” (like putting in Chevan vs Nevada for one series). But if we the fans can be patient Rolo (and Batoon too) can turn the Program into something we always “Dreamed” it could become. Can do.
