The instinct to re-focus and make the other team tap out. I think it takes the ability to believe in yourself and your teammates and trust each other (coaches and players). That belief wasn’t there yet (players and coaches) but honestly it was hard to believe at the time. I think we can all (coaches, players, fans, network television execs, and the casual college football fan across the nation) can see the potential of not only the offense, but all three facets here. Once the belief kicks in the sky will be the limit for sure. But it has to be learned and realized. Step by step. Not the crash course. I loved what I saw on Saturday. And I love what I can see. Terrific.

Kellikipi for a second or two! But the rainbow on national tv early on was truly deja vu!!

Batoon a la D. Aranda against Navy 2009 game …take the lead & keep the foot on the pedal! Make midshipmen play catch up!!

Pass rush not bad. Still not sold on 4-2-5 scheme. Having the nickel-back didn’t seem to slow down CSU’s passing attack. Granted some of their success, Warriors’ failure of pass-D, was attributed to the high altitude, but I thought it was more about creating one-on-one with accurate passing to tall and athletic WRs. For the Navy game, I suppose Batoon will go with a 4-3-4 alignment.

Prediction: Warriors 34 Midshipmen 28

Brian Smith said it was coaching error in going conservative too early. He said it was a learning experience.

your post of several days ago on “taking points”

wish I could, but I got 2 crickets on my shoulders whispering you can only place bets if you are in Vegas!

before, i would ask MasaBoy to place bets for me at the Nugget — worked well for him as he almost always hit $800 – 900 jack pots on machines on a particular machine
