OkSt has a fairly weak defense and has to outscore their opponents. OreSt started great but slowed after OkSt made some adjustments on defense and jumped ahead on the scoreboard. The OreSt D-line was ineffective after the 1st quarter.

Forgive me for repeating myself as I’ve mentioned this before…’Zona has over 900 running yards and 9 or 10 tds against OreSt over the past 2 years. Of course, that doesn’t mean it will happen this year, but it may indicate that OreSt’s defense may be improved and still not be that good.

‘Zona led the PAC 12 in rushing the past 2-3 years and had their running back, qb, and 3 of their O-line returning. I was totally impressed with the way Hawaii handled their running game. Also, Luton is nowhere close to Tate’s mobility as a qb. If the Warriors jump ahead early, it should allow the D to unleash the pass rush. I know it’s too early to get sassy after one game, but that’s the joy of the next week after a win!

Would love it if Allan has accurate info and the team is already practicing creative options for the reserves. That would make sense since the coaches are light years ahead of us. Not concerned about the discussion on the blog. After all, Boise did it for years (and still do) and still made it work. As you point out, the range of possible plays is way too wide for an opponent to spend time prepping. They need all the prep they can get for the A-team.
