At least the Run & Shoot is fun to watch.

If opportunity knocks, they would go. Not a very good situation to be in as a UH football coach. Not knowing if you’ll be employed the next year. Also must be awkward knowing that your HC is only here because UH can’t afford to by him out.

How the heck do you get fired up?

Why Clune left is because he has no faith that Chow will be around after this season, and Clune (or Ellison) would be out on the streets again. Finally, hiring of Clune was not based only on his coaching ability – you know that.

Now we will have a bad recruiting season and he will blame the coaches for leaving. Next we will be down in season tickets and he will blame the fan support. He can be proud of taking a good mid major program to the bottom in four short years. He like a bad car that you keep because you still have payments on it. Sorry if anyone in upper campus really cares time to change that car.

I think it would be an easier transition instead of an outsider who would be faced with a learning curve. Not to mention Chow’s hot seat status which would limit the possibilities for Clune’s replacement. Just need to find a secondary coach that’s willing to take on the task knowing that a coaching change at the end of next season might happen.

I believe we should give credit to the “supporters” who engage in this activity. The reason why the program is in bad shape is because of the culture or lack of it. Urban Meyer said if our program doesn’t have culture we will fail. No truer words.
