If you no believe him, fine, but try read first.

Educational read, for me at least.

Barry Sanders at 5-8 200lbs was able to be productive in this offense. So was Mike Bass, Michael Brewsters and Thero Mitchell. None was over 6-0 and only Mitchell of the three was over 200lbs.

I can see Keliiliki being somebody that can succeed but I also can see someone like MIles Reed being a potent part of this offense too. The guy only need a little space to turn a yard into 5-6 yards. With the defense all spread out to cover the receiver, I can see Miles Reed doing damage similar to what Mike Bass and Micheal Brewster. Freddy Holly is in between Reed and Keliiliki in terms of size so maybe he can be a nice fit for this offense too?

All three can contribute so we should be pretty good at RB.

Avion Weaver
Afatia Thompson
James Fenderson
Mike Bass
West Keliikipi
John West
Michael Brewster
Thero Mitchell
Regan Mauia
Nate Ilaoa
Kealoha Pilares
Leon Wright-Jackson
Alex Green
Joey Iosefa

I remember all of these names because they all had an impact and all made plays at RB at some point in their career. There will always be quality RBs who work hard and care about blocking and get overlooked by other schools for whatever reason.

Plus, I think Rolo will use his RBs more than a tradtional r&s offense would.

Collie picked the wrong time to leave he would have been able to put up some stats in this offense. I hope Tullis is give a chance to win the job for on of the slots, I think he is actually more talented the Collie and could have a breakout year. Also would like to see Stubblefield moved to the slot.

Will running backs even want to go to UH knowing they may spend most of their time blocking instead of carrying the rock? Will the running backs currently at UH want to stay, or will some transfer out?

He was on either the JV or Varsity staff for over 15 years. When on the Varsity he was the QB and assistant coach. He most recently was the JV head coach for the crew that will be juniors next school year.

His uncle is Bernard Carvalho, brother is the late Waika Carvalho.

Oh and brother can surf pretty good, too.

Congrats Ster!!!

Hope run based, grind em out MWC schools like SDSU, Boise State, CSU, & USU won’t have a field day because of this. Will running backs need to be recruited or needed anymore at UH? Just convert a LB or former TE for blocking (Torres). Doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have the players, though.

Gotta give the fan base what they want or else they won’t attend games (like an NFL team).
