Belated apologies all for the mix-up in match date for this week (as pointed out it’s Friday instead of Thursday). I’ve been traveling in Japan and the time difference messed me up. It’s been corrected; thanks to those who caught it.

it seems as though the rolo and gang does not believe in getting a good running back. their philosophy is that the back must be a good blocker first, then a runner. they feel a mediocre runner will be able to get yards by surprise since their version of the run and shoot is shoot first, the run is employed to misdirect the defense. holly was not a good blocker, more of a runner, that is why furuta played more because he was willing to block.

That leaves only 2 running backs coming back next year – Miles Reed and Hekili Keliiliki, both juniors to be. Hawaii failed to recruit a running back last year and does not have a commit for the 2020 class….yet.

Transfers, happens all the time especially if you don’t get to play much, or just not happy with where you are. Won’t be surprise if there’s more transfers in other UH sports. Got do whats best for you.

Too bad Holly decided to leave and not finish here, he’s only got a season left and was Rolo’s first recruiting gem. Hopefully our APR doesn’t take a hit and we get another RB gem in this next class. That’s what I love about college athletics, one person leaves another fills it, who wants to be here.
