Funny . . . if you skim the blog entry today, you talk about people showing up and not showing up for the game. Near the end of the entry, it says “Football coach Norm Chow and athletic director Ben Jay will attend.” Gosh, I hope so.

I know that you are referring to the event, not the game. But it was funny.

Les: yeah, because we all know that dave reardon is the anti-christ for UH football because he refuses to drool all over norm chow and write columns that aren’t rah-rah fluff pieces about how amazing UH football and norm chow is with a 6-28 record.

In the power 5 conferneces the rich get richer because they keep winning at all cost. Fans keep watching because the TV companies keep putting them on air.

Not sure how the NCAA deals with North Carolina Tarheels basketball. But, I hope the southen association of schools and colleges commission takes away their accreditation for the program that gave the bogus paper classes. They can’t take away their diploma. But, if the school or program that handed out those degrees in AF/Am studies loses their accreditation, the diplomas earned in that time period will have the same value as toilet paper.

I guess that’s big time football. The star players on a possible playoff team gets a free pass. If he was 5th year senior, non starter, and not on the 3 deep depth chart, he probably would have gotten hammered.

Winning at all cost seems to be the FSU’s mantra. It seems to be how a lot of power 5 conferences view football. Obviously FSU got the backing of the community and the police.

The have not’s try for the most part to play by the rules. The have’s on the other hand try to gain as much advantage just to keep up with competition or remain at the top of college D1 football.

I am not surprised. Winning at all cost mentality runs deep in that community. And, I agree, it is Freaking unbelievable.

I like June Jones idea. The power 5 conference can play in the Fall and the other 5 conferences can play in the spring. If the TV companies can buy into this idea, it’s a win-win for everyone.

If only UH Football had as much power within the community as FSU…

Freaking unbelievable… Tallahassee Police only managed to give 2 citations and did not make a police report after a PJ Williams (FSU football player) gets into an accident, totals 2 cars, while under the influence, with a suspended license, and flees the scene. TPD said the incident was too minor to complete a report.

Just wondering where Dave is going to be between 10-1 game day. Can’t be at the tailgate party cheering on the Warriors can he? And if I was him I wouldn’t hang too close around Norm and Ben. He might slip on a banana peel.
