The problem is your offense have to be organized to catch the opponent. Defense can be disorganzied(or at least give the appearance of disorganization) at the snap of the ball. If the offense is not set and is disorganzied at the snap, they get penalized.

RnS also prefer to let the defense get set, allowing the offense to read the defense and the use motion to get the defense out position.

All teams probably have plays for 4 and short and if nobody line up over center….they can quick snap.

It’s not worth the 5 yard penalty and put yourself in bad position by trying to outsmart your opponent with a special play…only to be penalized yourself by having too many men in the backfield or one of your recievers wayyyyyy outside was not set.

The negative of those kind of play outweighs the positive.

All the old folks who liked to wear headset radio and do stuff have moved on.

Instead of hiring someone to be the voice of the road bows, why not just pick up the feed from the opponents? Unless they asking for king’s ransom, I would think it would be cheaper and even more informative since that guy doing the PbP is more informed about the opponent and might be more familiar with the Bows since he call UH vs “opponents “ game before.

Does this guy based out of New Mexico even knows about UH, what style UH plays, or even the personnel on either team???.

I suspect he was “dying” of boredom.

He’s as solid as they come, knowledgable and quite easily excitable — and we know baseball needs more of that. I think it’s a good move for the program.

There is also talk of eliminating kickoffs.

Needs 16 to tie 17 to pass Ken Griffey jr.’s career homeruns. He is at 614. 630 is the next milestone. Expected date to break record, sometime in July 2018. Early July. If there is no injuries. April is the opening month to start. Spring training still.

The last time Hawai’i won the conference, playoffs, was in 1988. WAC, Big west, in baseball, & basketball. MWC in football. Jim does football too. Aloha stadium. Maybe? P.T. work again there.
